I have a particular interest in immigration and asylum law, having spent several years working for Nasc, the Irish Immigrant Support Centre, an NGO that advocates for the rights of immigrants.
I went into practice as a solicitor with a particular focus on immigration in 2012, before joining forces with Thomas Coughlan & Company Solicitors in September 2016.
Between us, we have considerable experience in dealing with a wide range of applications to the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service of the Department of Justice (INIS), on behalf of Irish citizens, EU migrant workers, refugees and workers and family members from outside of the EU. I am personally most proud to have helped long undocumented people to become legal residents of Ireland.
Many of the decisions made by the INIS with respect to the residency and entry permissions required by residents and by their family members are made at the discretion of the Minister for Justice. It is my experience that the preparation of a detailed and comprehensive application, that anticipates the queries typically raised by the department, can greatly assist in obtaining a positive result as quickly as possible.
Our service begins with a consultation. This comprises an interview, case assessment, and the provision of information and advice about your rights and your options. This may be enough so that you can proceed to make an application yourself, or in case you wish to get advice about an application form or letter that you have prepared before you send it off. This costs €150 (including VAT at 23%).
Consultations can be in person in the office, or via telephone, email, or skype.
If you wish to book a consultation, please email to firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call on 021 4975460 to let us know the date and time that would suit you best. We will do our best to schedule an appointment at a time that suits you.
